Set against the vivid, sensory-rich backdrop of Jacmel, Haiti, the film follows Marie Madeleine, a fiercely independent woman who lives entirely on her own terms. When her path crosses with Joseph—a young evangelical man struggling with his crumbling faith—their unlikely relationship opens a captivating world where desire, religious dogma, morality, and the fierce search for personal freedom collide.
